What is unique about WKC's School of Hospitality? This department is the oldest School of Hospitality in the UK; in 2010 we are celebrating our centenary year. We uphold long standing tradition but also look to the future to ensure that all students are trained with the latest methods and skill set, using the latest technology of today. We also work very closely with awarding bodies, in particular City & Guilds, who look to WKC to set benchmarks for them.
What are the benefits of studying your course? We are in central London, the centre of the most diverse, stimulating, culinary capital of the world. Students who study here are provided with many career pathways into excellent opportunities with an excellent level of success.
What do you look for in a potential WKC student when they come for interview? We are looking for students with passion and desire, who want to succeed at becoming a chef. Our interview process allows us to look for something unique, someone who has a sparkle.
What advice do you have for new students?Apply for the culinary courses early and ensure that you complete research on the industry prior to coming to the College.
What unique experience do you bring to the role?I have been a Chef Lecturer for 14 years. I also work for Callebaut as a Chocolate Ambassador and I am in the process of writing my fifth book.
