Access to HE
Westminster Kingsway College offers a wide range of Access to Higher Education Diploma courses for learners who wish to progress onto University Level study and is one of the biggest providers of these courses in London. The Modular Programme enables students to prepare for entry into higher education and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
This programme is for students aged 21 or over who wish to return to education to prepare for studying for a Higher Education course. If you are aged 19 or 20 will also be considered if you already have some experience outside of full time education (for example through work or travel).
Many of the Access to HE courses take place at the College's newly opened King's Cross Centre, near to King's Cross station. The Centre boasts science and pharmacy laboratories and the whole building is covered by wi-fi allowing students to use personal or College IT equipment.
Access to HE courses in Business and Hospitality, Leisure & Tourism take place at our Victoria Centre, where these specialist areas are based.
If you are aged 24 or over and thinking about Further Education – 24+ loans are available:
From the academic year 2013/14, student loans are being introduced by the UK government to support learners aged 24 and over undertaking advanced and higher level courses (like Access to Higher Education or Advanced Apprenticeships). If you are starting a course on or after 1 August 2013 you may qualify for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. These loans help you to pay the tuition fees charged by the College.
