Childcare Courses in the community

We offer a number of courses in childcare that are designed primarily for adult learners wishing to achieve a qualification to help them to find employment in this area.

There are different types of courses ranging from the Introduction to Childcare with ESOL Level 1 to the NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Children's Care, Learning & Development. Each of these courses includes a practical work placement as part of the course and the training takes place at both College centres and in some community venues near to your home.

The NVQ Level 2 Childcare certificate qualifies learners to work in childcare settings such as schools, playgroups, private nurseries, crèches etc. Learners can progress to the NVQ Level 3 course which is taught at the College's Kings Cross Centre.
