Westminster Kingsway College offers a range of Foundation Degrees and BA Hons degree programmes in vocational subjects. Learners have both full-time and part-time options on most degree courses. The College's degree programmes are closely linked to employers' requirements and prepare learners for vocational careers in Hospitality, Business, Management or Accounting.
The College's Higher Education programmes take place at the College's Victoria Centre, near to Victoria station. The Victoria Centre houses our specialist facilities for Business, Hospitality and Travel & Tourism in the picturesque Vincent Square, where the College has a long tradition of providing education over 100 years.
Foundation Degrees: Key Facts
Foundation Degrees were launched in 2000 as a partnership between colleges, universities and employers and are one of the fastest growing higher education qualifications in the UK. The Level 5 qualification is the equivalent to the first two years of a full honours degree and is a recognised qualification in its own right. In 2001, 4,000 students were studying on Foundation Degree programmes - this has now increased to over 90,000 students in 2009. Over half of the students on Foundation Degrees are studying on a part-time basis and 75% of students are over 21 when they begin their programme.
