Short Description
BTEC Certificates and Extended Certificates are level 3 vocational qualifications that provide specialist, work-related learning in a range of sectors. They are equivalent to A Level AS and A2 qualifications and are worth the same UCAS points. We offer a range of these qualifications in vocational subjects that you can use to make up your study programme. You may choose to study 1 or more of these subjects as part of an A Level programme or tag them onto another Level 3 vocational course. You would complete the Certificate (AS equivalent) in your first year of study and may choose to continue with the subject and complete the Extended Certificate in your second year of study. In some cases you can study both Certificate and Extended Certificate within 1 year making it an intensive programme.
Access Method
The course is assessed by external and internal forms of assessments throughout the year including a public examination in both the certificate and extended certificate.
Progression
Progress to a wide range of degree and other higher education courses, apprenticeships or employment.
All fees will be confirmed when you enrol onto your course. All students are fee assessed at enrolment
