Short Description
The CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) is the industry recognised body for HR qualifications and is widely recognised by employers.  
 
The CIPD Intermediate Diploma in Human Resource Management Level 5 is designed for HR professionals who wish to develop their career and attain an industry-recognised qualification.
 
The course is currently made up of the following modules:
 
• Developing Professional Practice
• Managing and Coordinating the HR Function
• Business Issues and the Contexts of HR
• Employment Law
• Organisation Design
• Organisation Development
• Improving Organisational Performance
• Using Information in HR
• Resourcing and Talent Planning
 
By studying at this level you will develop a strategic view of HR and its importance as a business function. The course will also enable you to share best practice with and gain knowledge from other students.
 
Students will be expected to take out CIPD membership when they join the course, at an additional cost of £90 per year plus a £40 joining fee (subject to change).
 
The course fee includes materials and assessment fees.
 
This course is eligible for an advanced learner loan.
Access Method
Application form/students will also be required to attend an interview with one of the course tutors.
Progression
Previous students have progressed into management roles or have chosen to specialise in areas such as Talent Management or Organisational Change.   
 
Further study of CIPD qualifications at Level 7 is also an option.

Entry Requirement
Some experience working in Human Resources is required for students looking to study the Level 5 qualification.   Attainment of the CIPD Foundation Diploma at Level 3 is desirable but not compulsory. You must have a minimum English language level equivalent to IELTS 4.5.
