 Access to HE Diploma: Midwifery
This is an Access to HE Diploma programme that allows you to choose options from a range of subjects available during the evening. All students take core studies in IT and tutorial and may choose two other modules.

We recommend that you take:

• Maths

• Midwifery studies

• Psychology

• Science for Health studies

• Sociology of Health.

The course is 15.5 hours per week over 3 or 4 days, depending on the options chosen.

These courses are aimed at people aged 19 and over who are returning to education with life experience. There are no specific entry qualifications other than a commitment to intensive study and a desire to progress to a degree in Higher Education. All applicants are given an initial literacy and, for some pathways, also a numeracy test. Each applicant is interviewed and assessed on an individual basis to decide their suitability for study on an Access pathway. You will receive information about your course timetable at your interview.
