If you require the college’s support to obtain a student visa then the full tuition fee for the course must be paid before a visa support letter is issued.

How to apply

Higher Education courses (Foundation Degrees, Degrees)

Overseas (non-EU) candidates applying for Full-time HE courses at more than one institution must do so through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). All non-EU applicants interested in only one particular course may apply to the College directly through the international office. All home (EU) students must apply through UCAS. UCAS will send you an information pack giving you further details of their procedures.

Further Education courses (Below HE level courses including vocational)

To apply, you will need to submit a college application form click here to download one enclosing copies of your qualifications. For courses at all levels, the college may accept you unconditionally; this will mean that you have shown yourself - on your application form - to be capable of benefiting from the course and of completing it successfully. The College may also respond to your application by making you a conditional offer. This may mean that you must first complete your current course and/or that you must first obtain certification of your English Language competence. Your competence in English, spoken and written, is an important feature of your application and is normally measured by the IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge tests.

If you are applying for one of our academic courses then the deadline for receipt of your application is 30th May before the start of your course or it may not be processed in time for you to obtain a visa.

If you are applying for a chef course you should also include a relevant job reference and a personal statement of 200 words describing your cookery experience and explaining why you want to take the course.

Westminster Kingsway College is a licensed sponsor for Tier 4 (student visa) applications. If you require the college to support your visa application then the full fee for your course is payable to the college before a visa letter or CAS certificate can be issued. This must be paid by bank draft, credit card or by bank transfer to the College bank account. If your application for a visa is unsuccessful, the fee you have paid will be refunded to you less £50 for administration costs. Additionally, proof of sufficient maintenance funds, for the duration of the study period, is required. No refunds can be made once a visa letter or CAS has been issued. (See Fees for further information).

The minimum English Language ability level for our academic courses is Cambridge First Certificate Grade B, TOEFL 550 points or IELTS 5.5. Otherwise you will have to study for a longer period in order to be of sufficient standard to continue to the further studies of your choice, such as Foundation Degree or A-Levels.

Students who come from outside the EU should first obtain an application form either from our website or from our Course Information Centre (email: courseinfo@westking.ac.uk) and return it to:
