Seafood recipes from Westminster Kingsway College chef students and lecturers feature in new book title=

Professional Chef students from Westminster Kingsway College have learnt that their own recipes will appear in a new catering recipe book launched by Alaska Seafood.

Westminster Kingsway College joined up with Alaska Seafood to run a competition for second year chef students to design exciting and innovative recipes using Alaska Seafood. The top 15 recipes feature in the new catering book, which also showcases recipes from the College’s own Chef Lecturers, José Souto and Norman Fu.

Westminster Kingsway College has been working with Alaska Seafood and introduces students to Alaska Seafood and its sustainable fisheries management in lectures and classes, so that they can take this knowledge and experience with them into the hospitality industry.

The book was launched with a reception at Westminster Kingsway College’s Vincent Rooms which was attended by many members of the catering and food industry. Canapés modelled on the recipes in the book were served by the students throughout the evening.
