The awards are in recognition of both 14-19 students and adult learners at the King’s Cross and Regent’s Park Centres, with nominations coming from teachers, tutors and staff from the Learning Centre and Student Activities. The award categories included best student group, awards for students who have excelled in individual learning and for students who have made exemplary progress in their learning. Entertainment was provided by BTEC Level 3 National Diploma Performing Arts students who performed two songs from their show, ‘Chorus Line’

Andy Wilson, Principal, said:“I would like to use this opportunity to thank all the students who were involved with our recent Ofsted Inspection Report. The feedback from you was fantastic and was really successful for the College. For all those who have won today, congratulations and keep up the good work.”

A special Learning Centre Award went to A-Level student, Saidat Ladejobi. Saidat, who is in her final year studying A2 Biology, Psychology, English Language & Literature and AS Chemistry, was chosen for her dedicated use of the Learning Centre and the respect and help she shows other students while studying.

Saidat said:“My award caught me by surprise; I was shocked but very happy! I enjoy using our Learning Centre and with all our exams coming up, I really can’t be anywhere else. I have an offer to study BSc Neuroscience with Cognitive Science at the University of Sussex after College and hope to work in neuroscience and brain development. This is my last year at College and I am finishing on a high.”
