Westminster Kingsway College has held a graduation ceremony for over 150 Access to Higher Education Diploma students who have completed their studies and are now progressing onto further study at universities and colleges across the UK. The celebration was held at the College’s King’s Cross Centre and brought together Access students who studied a wide range of subjects including Humanities and Social Sciences, Combined Studies, Pharmacy and Bio-Medical Sciences, Law, Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Education Studies.

Andy Wilson, Principal of Westminster Kingsway College congratulated the students before presenting them with their diplomas and said: “We are very proud of the students who have successfully completed their Access to HE courses at Westminster Kingsway College. These courses have prepared students returning to study for Higher Education and it is a significant achievement for all of the students who have secured places at universities and colleges to continue with their studies.”

Special mention was given to the hard work of the lecturers and tutors on the Access programmes for their work in inspiring the students and preparing them for further study. The College’s Access to Higher Education Diplomas offer a modular programme in a variety of subject areas and attract a wide range of adult learners from all over London who are aiming to apply to university after a period outside of education.

Access to Higher Education courses are designed to prepare students for Higher Education by drawing on previous experience and lead to a nationally recognised qualification for entry to a degree course. Many of the graduating students at Westminster Kingsway College have already secured places at a number of universities across the UK and they will begin their new courses in September. Westminster Kingsway College is one of the biggest providers of Access courses in London.
