Matrix Quality Standard at Westminster Kingsway
23 April 2010
Westminster Kingsway has been re-accredited with the Matrix quality standard for information advice and guidance services.
The award is a national quality standard that shows the effective delivery of information, advice and guidance on learning and work. The work of the Learner Advice & Support Services team at Westminster Kingsway was the focus of the inspection, particularly their demonstration of the quality of service for students and prospective students.
Commendations highlighted in the report included, that priority was given to clients with disabilities, that there was a strong commitment to partnership and that the Learner Advice & Support Services team made good use of technology and the internet in completing their work.
Andy Wilson, Westminster Kingsway Principal, pictured right with Suzanne Kay, said: "The Learner Advice & Support Services is the first point of contact at Westminster Kingsway, so for you to epitomise all these qualities is a great thing."
Yvonne Hayward, Head of Learner Advice & Support Services, said: "We are very pleased with the Matrix award as it shows that we are always putting our students at the heart of all of the services we offer here at Westminster Kingsway College."
