10 November 2009
Westminster Kingsway College has held its annual graduation ceremony for Higher Education courses. Over 50 students were presented with their degree certificates at the ceremony, held at St Stephen’s Church in Rochester Row in central London followed by a reception for students and their families and friends held in The Vincent Rooms at Westminster Kingsway College.
The guest speakers at the ceremony were Kieran MacDonald, General Manager at The Savoy Hotel and Guy Parsons, Managing Director Travelodge Hotels UK, reflecting the large numbers of hospitality courses at the College. The graduating students and their guests were welcomed to the ceremony by Andy Wilson, Principal, Westminster Kingsway College; Geoff Booth, Assistant Principal for Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism; and Howard White, Head of Higher Education, Business and ICT. The ceremony was also attended by lecturers from Westminster Kingsway College and representatives from London South Bank University, the University of Westminster and Leeds Metropolitan University, who validate the degree programmes at the College.
Many of the graduating students at Westminster Kingsway College are already working in their chosen industry and were pleased to be celebrating their achievements. The graduating courses were the Foundation Degree programmes in Accounting, Business, Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management and Travel & Tourism as well as the BA (Hons) degrees in Hospitality & Business Management and Tourism & Business Management.

"The teachers at the College are fantastic and so approachable. I was pregnant while I was studying and only missed class when I went into labour! I was back into lectures in the next week. I won’t forget my time here at Westminster Kingsway College and that’s the truth."
Javier Serrano, BA (Hons) Hospitality and Business Management
"As a result of my time at Westminster Kingsway, I grew personally, professionally and academically. I met great people and built good contacts for the future."
