Westminster Kingsway College Professional Chef and Hospitality students and their lecturers will be showcasing their talents at the Restaurant Show 2009, held over three days at London’s Earls Court.

This year the Restaurant Show’s onsite Signature restaurant will have an exciting new format. On each day of the Show, a different chef will take the reins and head up the restaurant for the day with the students from Westminster Kingsway College.

The College students and their lecturers will be able to demonstrate their skills over three days. It will give the students the opportunity to work with some of the most renowned names in the hospitality industry. The students will be able to prove their ability to work under pressure, cooking in a remote site they are not familiar with and being under the scrutiny of food experts and visitors to the show.

The head chefs working with Westminster Kingsway College will be:

  • Monday 12th October: Cyrus Todiwala of Café Spice Namasté
  • Tuesday 13th October: Giorgio Locatelli of Locanda Locatelli
  • Wednesday 14th October: Richard Hughes of Lavender House

Head of Culinary Arts at Westminster Kingsway College, Gary Hunter said: "Once again, Westminster Kingsway College is demonstrating our philosophy of showcasing the quality of our teaching and our students' culinary expertise in the industry spotlight at the Restaurant Show. It is a positive experience for both our lecturing team and the students to be exposed to the pressures of working in a new venue for three days and to experience the cooking styles of renowned chefs in the industry."
