Enrolment guide

Before students can start their course they will need to have attended an interview and then enrol, which will confirm their place. If students have had an interview already they will have been given a date to enrol on, which we advise that they attend.

However, we recognise that it may not be possible to come along on that day. They are welcome to come on a later date but please remember that places fill up fast and the later they leave it the less likely they are to get a place on the course of their choice.

Remember, students are not guaranteed a place on their chosen course until they have enrolled and received their student card and learner agreement.

When they arrive there will be an organised system of enrolling everyone on their chosen course. However, this can sometimes be a long process and we ask all students and parents to be patient during what can be a very stressful time. We will do everything we can to make the enrolment period as 'stress free' as possible and members of staff will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions that may arise.

To ensure that students enrol as quickly as possible they are asked to provide the following items*:

  • Exam results and certificates
  • £25 Student ID Card fee

Along with one of the following*:

  • Passport/Home Office Documents
  • Birth Certificate

*If the student is not aged between 16 and 18 and/or have not been a resident in the UK/EU for over 3 years they will have to provide extra documents. Please contact Admissions and Advice on 0870 060 9800 for further details on what extra documents students need when they enrol.

Once they have enrolled at the College students are told when their induction day is. During induction they will be given a timetable and allocated a personal tutor who will meet with them on a regular basis to discuss their progress and help them get the most out of College life during their time with us. Parents will also be invited to sessions during the academic year to discuss the student's progress.
