Information and Advice

Student Support
If you need information, advice or support you can contact one of our welfare advisers. Staff offer advice on many issues including welfare, benefits, finance, housing, immigration and personal problems. The service is available on both a drop-in and appointment basis at all college centres.

We also have Connexions Personal Advisers who provide comprehensive support and advice to students aged 14-19 years.

Student Support Funds

You can apply to Student Services for help towards the cost of travel, childcare, fees and equipment. Financial support can only be given to students in genuine difficulty and we cannot guarantee that all applications will be successful. To apply for funds you can obtain a Student Support Funds application form which is at all college centres.

Childcare

There is a nursery at the Regent's Park and Peel Centres. We offer part-time and full-time places to children aged 2-5 years. Our team of experienced, qualified staff provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment. The nursery supervisor will be happy to explain and support all your queries. Places are in high demand so it is advisable to apply as soon as possible once you enrol.

Students may apply for Student Support funds to assist with childcare costs. If we are unable to help you with a place for your child in our nurseries, we can assist you in finding a childminder or a nursery but they must be registered with the local social services department. The Childcare team have good links with local crèches and childminders.
