Raphael Rispal
Raphael Rispal is
originally from a small village in France and decided
to study at the Kentish Town Centre when a friend who
had completed a Foundation Course in BTEC Art and Design
recommended it. “The tutors at the college are
extremely good, they’re willing to assist in any
way they can”, Raphael said.
At the end-of-year show, his exhibit
‘Artful Device’ consisted of a small room
with a staircase, all painted in silver, and a mannequin
sitting behind a desk. Raphael explained, “The
piece is intended to demonstrate that Globalisation
is a prominent force in society today. Everything we
do, from what we eat to the things we listen to, and
even what we look at, are all products of something
artificial”.
Raphael is now studying a BA in Illustration
at Camberwell University. He said, “I’ve
thoroughly enjoyed my time at Westminster Kingsway College
and I’m so glad I had the chance to do this course”.
