Our Internet Film Making course will teach you the script to online process of shooting, editing and uploading of video for the web.
Day One (Planning & Shooting)
- Introduction to the limitations of web-based videos (compression issues)
- Story structure, film length and script considerations
- Technical issues (e.g. aspect ratio, 4x3 or 16x9, tripod vs handheld)
- Camera, sound & lighting training
- Shooting
Day Two (Editing)
- Digitising footage
- Editing
- How to edit more quickly (FCP tips & shortcuts)
- Practical production tips (incl. correct posture at the computer, backup strategy)
- Adding titles and audio
Day Three (Post Production)
- Colour correcting/Adjusting for exposure
- Re-framing for the internet
- Keying green screen footage
- Fixing problems (e.g. shaky camera footage)
- Compressing for the web/uploading to online video sites
- How to share videos for Windows and mobile devices
Location: The course takes place in our fully equipped Mac suite in Soho.

This course is for people who want to:
- learn how to edit on Final Cut Pro with a view to web distribution
- learn how to shoot on DVCam with a view to web distribution
- learn how to shoot green screen with a view to web distribution
- gain a basic understanding of sound editing, effects and generating text
- prepare their films for distribution on the web
- attract traffic to their films and content

Simon Walker
Simon Walker has been Filming, Editing, Designing & Animating short-films and motion graphics sequences for over 10 years. He has a full broadcast post-production studio with capabilities to film, edit, shoot and composite green/blue screen footage and design 2D & 3D animations.
Simon is an Apple Certified Professional in video editing & motion graphics and in addition is an Apple Certified Trainer (FCP & Motion). Simon wrote, edited and produced multiple training projects, delivered on CD-ROM to Somerfield staff. The Passion For Produce title won Best Training Package at the National Training Awards.
