This one-year programme is for anyone wanting to build on an existing Level 5 qualification to achieve a full honours degree. The programme is intended for students who require a pathway to a management and leadership level career in the Hospitality and Tourism sectors.
The course is designed to provide experiences that reflect current hospitality and tourism industry management requirements as well as future probabilities. Students will learn how to critically evaluate management models and theories to support logical decision making in the context of these industries and be challenged to solve complex problems in real organisations by applying a range of skills and techniques to create new knowledge.
Students will build their employability skills through a variety of forms, including case studies, analysis and guest speakers who bring contemporary industry expertise. The programme offers residential and day fieldtrips to employers to experience and consider specific roles in the workplace. In addition, full time students are encouraged to undertake voluntary internships or voluntary work.
