About The Course

This course will help you improve your digital skills, whilst improving your English skills for life, work and communication in the UK.

The course follows the national standards for essential digital skills, and is available at both Entry Level 3 and Level 1, depending on your current ability. At Entry Level 3, you will develop digital skills for life and be introduced to digital skills for work; at Level 1, the focus is mostly on digital skills for work, with a secondary focus on digital skills for life.

What Will I Study?

Topics covered can include:

  • Using devices and handling information
  • Creating and editing
  • Communicating
  • Transacting
  • Being safe and responsible online

What Will I Need?

You do not need to have any previous qualifications.

All applicants must have an interview and assessment to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

How Will I Be Assessed?

The employability aspect of the course is based on a portfolio. You will complete a series of assignments totalling 6 credits, which will then be internally assessed by the course tutor, internally verified by another member of staff and externally verified by NCFE. The ESOL part of the course will be assessed by a speaking and listening exam.

What Will It Cost?
