This course will help you:
Our teachers are currently planning for the safest ways to deliver this course from September. We have been delivering all of our courses online since the outbreak of Coronavirus in March 2020, and we are fully equipped to continue this for as long as is necessary. We hope to be able to deliver the course in a mixed format - blending online lessons with face-to-face teaching – as and when we feel that, on the basis of Government advice and our own risk assessments, it is safe to do so. The ratio of face-to-face teaching in our college buildings to online teaching will vary from course to course, so more specific information will be provided to you at enrolment.
To apply for our ESOL courses you need to visit the college for a test and interview to help us to suggest the best way to help you to improve your skills.
All of our English (ESOL) courses lead to an examination in one or more skills (reading, writing and speaking/listening).
Entry to any of these examinations, however, is not automatic and is always subject to a recommendation by the teacher.
Teachers will recommend entry to examinations only in cases where a student has reached the required standard.
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Many of our students are eligible for financial support when studying at college – please click here for more information.
