This course covers a wide range of vocational units relating to health and social care, specifically designed for those looking to pursue a career in the sector once they have finished studying at school.

Equality and Inclusion in Health, Social Care or Children's and Young People's Settings
Working in Health and Social Care
Care Planning Skills for the Care Worker
Care of the Elderly
Duty of Care in Health and Social Care
Moving and Positioning Individuals
What Will I Need?
You will need:
Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English Language and Maths, or relevant Level 1 course with Functional Skills in English and Maths at Level 1
A reference from your previous school/college
All applicants must have an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
How Will I Be Assessed?
The course is assessed throughout the year and with an end-of-course portfolio.
What Will It Cost?
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. What Can I Do After?
This course will help you to move on to higher level courses, such as Level 3 courses or an apprenticeship.
