About The Course

Further Maths is a challenging qualification, which both extends and deepens your knowledge and understanding beyond the standard A Level Mathematics. If you enjoy mathematics, it provides a challenge and a chance to explore new and more sophisticated mathematical concepts. You will also study further applications of mathematics in mechanics, statistics and decision mathematics. If you are planning to study for a degree in areas such as as Engineering, Science, Computing, Finance, Economics, or perhaps Mathematics itself, you will benefit enormously from taking Further Mathematics, as it introduces new topics such as matrices and complex numbers that are vital in many of these degrees.
