About the Course
Our Art and Design A Level Equivalent is a Level 3 vocational qualification that provides specialist, work-related learning. They are equivalent to, and are worth the same UCAS points as, 1.5 A Level qualifications. We offer a range of these qualifications in vocational subjects that you can use to make up your study programme.
You may choose to study 1 or more of these subjects as part of an A Level programme (subject to availability) or tag them onto another Level 3 vocational course. You would complete the qualification over 2 years.
Our Art and Design course includes a wide range of creative disciplines including photography, illustration, digital art, painting, sculpture, screen printing and digital media. You will also get the opportunity to work on many live projects for real clients giving you professional experience.
What you will study
Although the emphasis is on practical assignments, you will need to complete extensive research and produce written assessments in the form of contextual and evaluative log books/ portfolios.
Progress to a wide range of degree and other Higher Education courses, apprenticeships or employment.
Four GCSEs at grade 4 or above including GCSE English Language and Maths, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at grade Merit or above and a good reference.
