About the Course
BTEC Business is a general course covering a variety of business topics. At Victoria there is the opportunity to specialise in either marketing or finance in the second year of the programme. Although classroom based the programme is enriched with a wide range of speakers and activities.
What you will study
You will develop your skills and knowledge for studying or working in Business, Enterprise, Marketing, Finance or Accounting.
You will investigate practical and theoretical aspects of business resources and environment, starting a business, marketing, event management, enterprise skills, e-business and resource management.
Emphasis is on understanding why business skills and knowledge are important, particularly in a work related environment.
You will attend master classes and Q&A sessions with industry experts, visit companies and exhibitions, take part in enterprise activities and competitions and network with industry and former students about their experiences.
Progression to higher level study or into employment.
Four GCSEs at grade C or above, or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at grade Merit or above with Functional Skills Maths and English at Level 2 and a good reference.
If you do not already have qualifications in English and Maths you will need to do a short test.
