About the Course
This programme is designed to widen learning and understanding at Level 2 and experience Level 3 expectations and content.
There is also a strong focus on building your capability in developing the soft skills needed for your career and sustained employment in the business sector.
What you will study
Content in the programme includes understanding business culture and responsibilities, customer services, problem solving in business environments and responding to change.
There is also a strong focus on the development of Maths & English skills to support you in your career paths, but additionally to build the capacity for higher attainment at level 3. You will gain a good foundation to progress to Level 3 whilst preparing you for employment.
You will build the portfolio of tools you need for the world of work and gain experience on a placement in industry. This work placement will help you develop your employability skills, attitudes and behaviours that are expected in the workplace.
You will be required to create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of 100% of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit. The portfolio will contain a variety of evidence such as: worksheets, records of oral and written questioning, assignments, projects and observations.
Successful completion of this course will enable you to enter Higher Education or start in industry.
Four GCSEs at grade D or above or equivalent Level 1 qualification with Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1 and a good reference.
