Entry Requirements

Childcare and Working with Children
Entry Requirement

Ideally learners will have a Level 1 qualification in a related subject. Your suitability for the course will be assessed at interview stage through a number of initial assessments in Maths, English and subject related assessment.

This course is assessed in the classroom and within the workplace. Learners MUST have independently secured work placement ideally before the course begins and definitely within the first 4 weeks of enrolling onto the course. As work placement is mandatory – you will not be allowed to continue after the first 4 weeks if you do not have a placement secured.

All learners must have an enhanced DBS check – this will need to be paid for by the learner – although some work placements may offer to pay and complete this process on your behalf. We are able to advise you - but it is your responsibility to ensure that you have your enhanced DBS check in place.

All fees will be confirmed when you enrol onto your course. All students are fee assessed at enrolment
