This course will equip you with the skills to work for any part of the industry such as integrated resorts, airlines, tourist boards, tour operators and across specialist areas such as destination management, marketing, sales, logistics, customer services and HR.

Managerial roles in tourism are challenging and rewarding. Tourism managers need to make sure that their businesses are sustainable, profitable and provide a high quality experience for their customers and staff.

The tourism sector is the largest sector in the world's economy and is short of good quality managers. Recent graduates from this course have gone onto roles such as Trainee Business Travel Consultant, Assistant HR Manager, Sales Co-ordinator. Many also start their own businesses in the sector including web-based tour operations.

Access Method

A variety of methods including group and individual projects will be used, and to reflect the vocational nature of the course, assessment will feature a number of work-based activities based on real-life case studies as well as research from field trips and trade shows.

Some elements of the course will consist of on-line assessment although full preparation for this will be provided.
