HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE, NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

At WestKing, we have a large and successful provision for those who wish to be a part of the growing, caring community. Our courses will equip you with the skills and abilities to deliver a first-class service as well as enable you to progress onto management level. At Level 3 you will be able to follow either a care or health sciences pathway. As part of the Career Colleges programme, we offer a course provision, with progression to apprenticeships, higher education and employment.

The Health and Social Care sectors have always been popular with those who want to work within the changing environment of today’s modern social and health care service. Working in this sector you will help to improve lives through care, support and education. A career in nursing and health & social care is extremely fulfilling, helping others.

All courses include work experience and opportunities for you to practise in a realistic working environment within the college. Our dedicated team of tutors will guide and support you through the learning process and offer expert advice on appropriate career pathways.

The National Health Service and the health sector is changing rapidly and offers a wide range of employment opportunities. London salaries vary but as a guide, you could expect to earn £24,523 for a Child and Early Years Officer, £41,205 as a Social Worker and £39,083 as an experienced Nurse.
