Hospitality apprenticeships awarded gold standard

Thursday 5 October 2017

The Hospitality and Culinary Arts department at Westminster Kingsway College has been accredited as a Gold Standard Apprenticeship Provider by People 1st.

The People 1st hospitality accreditation recognises colleges and providers that deliver excellent full-time or classroom-based hospitality training and qualifications.

The accreditation also highlights colleges and training providers that are working well with employers – allowing them to influence the curriculum so it meets industry needs, and developing partnerships that benefit learners.

Terry Tinton, Head of Faculty for Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Business and IT, said:

“We are delighted to have received the Gold standard for hospitality apprenticeships at Westminster Kingsway College; it truly is a testament to our exceptional team who deliver programmes on behalf of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, Worshipful Company of Cooks and other leading associations and establishments.

“We are looking forward to another fantastic year and growing our apprenticeships at Vincent Square.”

Westminster Kingsway College provides its apprentices with a wide range of courses and work based learning that enable them to gain highly respected awards and recognition within the industry. The college continuously improves the foundations of professional industry training through its excellent links with top industry leaders and on-going collaboration with the international food industry.
