I am really enjoying the course. I was working as a nanny and looking for part-time qualifications so this course suited me. I am learning about child protection and how to plan activities for children so it is really useful.
I have always wanted a career in childcare because there is a great need for supporting parents during their children’s early years and I speak from experience as I have two children of my own. The best part of my learning at Westminster Kingsway College, are my teachers. They are so amazing and very approachable both in and out of the classroom. I am so proud of what I have achieved here as I started from Level 1 and progressed through to Level 3. After College, I would like to continue my education and work part time as well.
When I first started College I was worried that I wouldn’t settle in as I was starting from Entry 3 but I adapted so well and that is because the College is so wonderful. Everyone was welcoming and our teachers always gave us feedback and ideas on how to keep on improving ourselves. I have been here for four years now and I have achieved so much. With my Level 3 training I can go on to work in a nursery or school. Based on my experience, my advice to anyone in a similar situation would be to dedicate themselves to their studies and it will show in your work!
