AS/A2 Media Studies (OCR)
What will I study?
• Advanced portfolio - promotional TV campaign
• Research techniques
• Theoretical concepts of narrative construction
• How social groups are represented in British TV and film
• Build on technical skills in video and editing techniques
Successful students can progress to A2 subjects including Media Studies and then on to a degree or other higher level courses.
General A-Level entry requirements - Three GCSEs at grade B or above plus two further GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent). At least four GCSEs must have been assessed through examination, including English Language and Maths.
What are the additional entry requirements for this course?
GCSE at grade B or above in either English Language or Media and a good reference.
For entry to the second year of the A-Level, you will need:
AS Media Studies at grade D or above, the entry requirements for AS Media Studies and a good reference or recommendation from your Tutor.
